Ron loves everything about wine. He started becoming serious about wine after running the Marathon du Medoc. Starting with an interest in Bordeaux, a subsequent trip to Australia, expanded his wine interests.

Ron is the chapter co-chair (along with his fellow wine-crazy wife) of the Catawba Chapter of the American Wine Society. He's also a life member of that organization and a certified wine judge. He's a member of the Knights of the Vine and the Society of Wine Educators. He's passed the Level 3 WSET with distinction and been rated both a Connoisseur and Aficionado of wine by the Parker/Zraly wine certification program.
